About Me and Life
My life is all about finding a balance between extremes. I love details and carefully considered compositions, but I eat my porridge straight from the pot and simplify many everyday things to an almost ascetic level.

I long for my own peace, quiet and meditation, but I’m a storyteller of breaks and I get my energy from full-on power bands and raucous laughter with friends.

I am thoughtful and weigh up my decisions carefully, but I often find myself in completely atypical situations, and I am incredibly easy to lure into life’s adventures.

I am a sensitive immersive thinker, but I have a strong-willed and strong personality, which often manifests itself in passionate conversations and a wry and wry sense of humour.

I’m a controlled, matter-of-fact and determinedly goal-oriented person, but I’m also an enthusiastic and rambunctious child of nature.

I am enchanted by the power and diversity of nature, I am enchanted by the built landscape of the city.

Most useful trait
: The ability to see the big picture and identify patterns.

Something Surprising
Even though I’m a systematic cleaner and have created systems and lists for almost every aspect of my life, I always end up not making those important calls. I constantly lose and misplace things and create unintentional messes almost everywhere I go.

When I get immersed in what I’m doing or thinking, my sense of time disappears completely. I’m at my best when I can focus on one thing at a time.

On the living room wall:
A bookshelf and three of my own paintings: Fenix, Life, and Art of Nostalgia

A Vision for the Future:
Come see projects coming to life, featuring architecture that is unmistakably and uniquely Arctila.

If I weren’t an architect, I’d be…
A writer, philosopher, artist, psychologist, history teacher, yoga guru, cultural researcher, or world traveler

On my reading list / in my headphones:
At least a million interesting books. Next up: Neil Gaiman’s *Norse Mythology* and L. Ron Hubbard’s *Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health*.

The greatest motivator
A life that’s uniquely yours and inspiring. When your life is built from pieces you’ve put together yourself, and you live by choosing your own path in accordance with your own qualities and values, there’s often so much motivation and inspiration that it can even feel overwhelming.

My greatest passion
Learning new things, experiencing new things, and continuous, lifelong growth. The world is full of fascinating and intriguing things. What doors will open next?

Architectural idol
Tadao Andō. The rawness and clarity of concrete and masses, the dialogue of light and shadow, and insightful details and views.

Favorite color:
Black. Dark colors frame, clarify, organize, and provide contrast.

Laura from Tiina
“Tiina is an intelligent book lover who looks for the answer to everything, if she doesn’t already know it. He thinks carefully about solutions, often looking at things from many different angles. In contrast to her systematic and precise approach, Tiina is also a passionate artist, for example in abstract art she lets go of the limits of systematicity. Sensitivity is reflected in architectural design by taking into account many senses – the sense of sight in the clarity and balance of light and shadow, the sense of hearing in the acoustics and the sense of touch in the choice of materials. All this makes Tiina’s designs harmonious, comprehensive and fascinating.”
